Springboard business plans are powerfully written documents that explain business objectives, business models and complex concepts in clear, concise language. Financial projections are based on realistic, detailed assumptions.  Since I don’t use a “canned” approach, each business plan is tailored to the nuances of the individual business and its industry.

Developing a successful business plan is a collaborative process.  We’ll combine your vision and industry knowledge with my plan writing and business experience so that the business plan properly presents your ideas and strategies.  Over the course of a plan’s development I take on several roles, including devil’s advocate, cheerleader and guidance counselor.  Not only will you get a business plan, you’ll get expert guidance in developing a comprehensive plan that can withstand the scrutiny of the most sophisticated potential investor.  Once your plan is complete, I can also help you develop and/or refine your pitch so that you make the most of any opportunity to woo potential investors.

Plan Writing:  Business plans consist of both narrative text and financial projections. I write the narrative to explain, clearly and concisely, the opportunity and how you plan to exploit it.  I develop financial projections based on realistic, detailed financial assumptions.  This includes number crunching to produce standard financial projections (e.g., profit & loss statements, cash flows).  An Executive Summary is also included as part of the plan.

Plan Guidance:  When you’re short on funds, hiring a professional business plan writer can present a Catch-22—you need a business plan to secure funds, but you need funds to develop a great business plan.  For those who have an unforgiving budget and a willingness to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) I can guide you in the writing of your business plan for an hourly fee.  While you set the time constraints and the depth of my involvement, I guide you either step-by-step or more generally.   Either way, I will assist you in writing a solid, well thought-out business plan, all while staying within your budget.

Pitch Development:  Once your business plan is complete, the next step often involves developing an irresistible pitch to woo potential investors.  Even if I haven't written your plan, I'm ready to help you put your best foot forward.  I'll work with you to develop and/or refine the content of your pitch so that you dazzle them with your presentation and ready answers.

Fees:

Plan Writing:  The flat fee for writing a business plan ranges from $6,500 to $15,000+, with the fee dependent upon the scope and complexity of the plan.  Half the fee is required in order to begin.

Plan Guidance:  The fee for business plan guidance is $150/hr. with a 2-hour minimum.  The fee can be reduced to $125/hr. with an up-front minimum commitment of 10 hours.  In both cases, the minimum fee is due in advance.

Pitch Development:  The fee for pitch development is $125/hr. with a 2-hour minimum.  The minimum fee is due in advance.
