Services:

Springboard business plans are powerfully written documents that explain business objectives, business models and complex concepts in clear, concise language. Financial projections are based on realistic, detailed assumptions.  Since I don’t use a “canned” approach, each business plan is tailored to the nuances of the individual business and its industry.

Developing a successful business plan is a collaborative process.  We’ll combine your vision and industry knowledge with my plan writing and business experience so that the business plan properly presents your ideas and strategies.  Over the course of a plan’s development I take on several roles, including devil’s advocate, cheerleader and guidance counselor.  Not only will you get a business plan, you’ll get expert guidance in developing a comprehensive plan that can withstand the scrutiny of the most sophisticated potential investor.

Option 1:  Plan Writing.  Business plans consist of both narrative text and financial projections. I write the narrative to explain, clearly and concisely, the opportunity and how you plan to exploit it.  I develop financial projections based on realistic, detailed financial assumptions.  This includes number crunching to produce standard financial projections (e.g., profit & loss statements, cash flows).  An executive summary is included as part of the plan.

Option 2:  Plan Guidance.  When you’re short on funds, hiring a professional business plan writer can present a Catch-22—you need a business plan to secure funds, but you need funds to develop a great business plan.  For those who have an unforgiving budget and a willingness to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), I can guide you in the writing of your business plan for an hourly fee.  While you do the writing, I do the editing; and since you set the time constraints, there’s no need for your business plan to blow your budget.

Option 3:  Phone Consult.  For those who have specific, targeted needs, the phone consult may be the right option.  When it comes to business plans, some clients need help getting started, while others need step-by-step guidance; some need help only with specific sections, while others can’t seem to get it done without someone holding them accountable.  Whether you need one phone consult or several, I can help you get it done.

Fees:

Payment for all services is due in advance.

Option 1:  Plan Writing.  The flat fee for writing a business plan ranges from $6,500 to $15,000+, with the fee dependent upon the scope and complexity of the plan.  Half the fee is required in order to begin.

Option 2:  Plan Guidance.  The fee for business plan guidance is $150/hr. with a 2-hour minimum.  The fee can be reduced to $125/hr. with an up-front minimum commitment of 10 hours.  The minimum fee is due in advance.

Option 3:  Phone Consult.  The fee for phone consults is $60/hr. with a 1-hour minimum.  The fee for either 1 or 2 hours (depending on your needs) is due in advance.
