"Before working with Diane, we couldn't figure out why VCs weren't understanding our business model. Diane helped us refine it so that by the end, we thoroughly understood our business. And it showed in our business plan, which accurately explained a very complex business model."

Why Springboard Business Plans:

Let’s face it, not many entrepreneurs want to write their own business plans.  They say, “I know my business, not how to write a business plan!”  That’s where Springboard Business Plans comes in.  As a client, you get the best of both worlds:  a wordsmith and number cruncher who creates business plans that clearly explain complex concepts. The result?  Well thought-out road maps that allow entrepreneurs to maximize their potential while avoiding many of the pitfalls inherent in starting and growing their own ventures.

Personal:

When you contact Springboard Business Plans, you won’t reach a receptionist or an assistant.  You’ll speak directly with me.  I'll work closely with you to get to know your business and its position in the marketplace, and then I'll write a strong, effective business plan individually tailored to the business and all its nuances.  I’ll help you develop your vision into a solid foundation from which to launch and grow your business.

Collaborative:

Developing a successful business plan is a collaborative process.  We'll combine your vision and industry knowledge with my plan writing and business experience so that the business plan properly presents your ideas and strategies.   In this capacity I take on several roles, including devil’s advocate, guidance counselor and coach. Not only will you get a business plan, you'll get expert guidance in developing a comprehensive plan that can withstand the scrutiny of the most sophisticated potential investor.  I'll point out weak assumptions and gaps, and work with you to resolve them.  In fact, maintaining an easy dialog between us is so important that I typically charge a flat fee. I want you to feel comfortable discussing issues or asking questions without "hearing the clock tick."

Confidential:

You and I will both sign a letter of engagement.  This letter includes a confidentiality agreement in which I agree to keep all business information confidential unless I have your prior written approval.

Timely:

The quality of each plan is of the utmost importance, but I also recognize that time is of the essence where ideas are concerned.  In order to deliver quality as quickly as possible, I only work on a limited number of plans at any given time.  Of course, the time it ultimately takes to complete a plan depends upon a variety of factors, including your response time during the collaborative process, but we'll work together to establish a schedule that fits your needs.
